Job Role Summary
The Risk Analyst position is responsible for overseeing the new and ongoing risk to Shift4 Payments from our merchants, sales partners and sales office portfolio. The Risk Analyst will work with the Risk Department to identify, assess and analyze potential risk and to provide feedback on risk reviews and assessments completed. This job description only constitutes a summary of the responsibilities due to the expanding nature of the company, the department often requires changing roles and additional responsibilities. Evaluations will be conducted on an as needed basis for any individual who wishes to prove their proficiency in the Analyst I responsibilities. Passing these evaluations, along with recommendation from management, will be required to move to a higher tier level. Please speak with your direct supervisor if you have any questions or concerns.
Job Role Responsibilities
- Perform ISV reviews and contribute to the daily completion of the risk and NDF reports
- Place holds when necessary to prevent losses
- Investigate Watchlist Scrutiny accounts and low risk accounts and Splunk Alerts
- Compile Risk data for analysis and/or reporting and UAR’s for management assessment
- Review MAC alerts as assigned and Retro MATCH inquiries
- Perform Mini reviews and Full risk reviews for legitimacy and Everest Platform Pilot MID reviews
- Document bank balances and review bank statements
- Maintenance accounts in CBOS watch list with approval
- Document account investigations in the CRM and contribute to SOP’s as requested by management.
- Manage requests from Merchants received by email and elevate issues to management team when discovered
- Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management
Job Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Mature minded individual, College or equivalent preferred
- Individual should possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required
- Attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing information
- At least a year of experience in an office environment preferred
- Excellent organizational skills required
- SQL, Python, and R experience desired but not mandatory
- Ability to work in the evening shift
